Perfect and marvellous location in the lovely area, adjacent to a beautiful park, the canal, and Grove Lodge. For tea or coffee visit Morrisons Cafe nearby.

The room was beautifully decorated and furnished, making me feel relaxed and comfortable during my business trip. The bed was massive and the separate lounge area was a great place to relax and unwind. The private breakfast served in the lounge was a special touch and made me feel like royalty. The location of the hotel was ideal, with a lovely 20-minute walk into town, avoiding the nightmare of parking. The hosts were friendly and helpful, even assisting with carrying my bags to the nearby parking area.
The parking situation was not the most convenient, as it was located across the main road from the hotel. While it wasn't a problem for me, it might pose difficulties for those with mobility issues.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with stunning views. The private living room where breakfast was served was a special touch. The breakfast itself was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The location was great, with a scenic walk to the city center that only took about 15 minutes. We also appreciated the warm welcome and helpful recommendations from the staff.
That without a car, it was a bit more difficult to get to and from the hotel. However, the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of the hotel more than made up for it.

Comfiest bed ever slept on! and a delicious breakfast. The decor was really luxurious and everything seemed brand new. The location was also very central and easy to get around the city from.
There was no view from the room and I felt a bit claustrophobic as there was no window. , the shower had barely any pressure which was a bit frustrating as it took twice as long to wash.

The hotel is far from the city centre, making it difficult to get around or explore the local neighbourhood. the bathroom facilities are quite basic and could use an upgrade to match the level of comfort in the luxurious rooms. the breakfast service is remarkable and served with a touch of class with silver trays and impeccable presentation. the hosts are extremely welcoming and accommodating, with the parking service being convenient and the room feeling like a home away from home.
The location is not the most convenient for those without a vehicle.

The Christmas stay at this cozy lodge was amazing! the complimentary bottle of Prosecco and homemade treats were a warm welcome. the location was perfect for exploring the city and the nearby parking made it easy to come and go. We loved the luxurious furnishings and the comfortable bed, and the private breakfast served in a separate lounge was a unique and enjoyable experience.
If we had to choose a negative aspect, it would be that the shower water pressure was a bit low. this was a minor inconvenience compared to the many positives of the stay.

My recent stay at this accommodation was truly exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and special treats to make me feel welcome. The hosts went above and beyond, providing me with valuable information about the area and even giving me a lift to a nearby wedding when I was running late. The guest house itself was beautifully decorated and had fantastic facilities, including a comfortable bed and a variety of amenities. The attention to detail was impeccable, with homemade biscuits and chocolates, luxurious bathroom products, and even a pillow menu. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a full English spread and delightful extras. I also enjoyed the lovely scenic walk to the city center along the canal, which added to the overall charm of my stay. I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a 5-star experience without the hefty price tag.
